In preparation
These are being written now. They are listed so you know what is coming — not so you can buy something that does not exist yet. Nothing below is on sale.
IELTS
IELTS Academic reports English proficiency on a nine-band scale in half-band steps, across Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
TOEFL iBT
The TOEFL iBT scores academic English from 0 to 120, as the sum of four section scores of 0 to 30 for Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing.
Academic Skills
Untimed diagnostics for the skills every admissions test rests on: close reading, quantitative reasoning, data interpretation and academic writing. Reported as mastery by skill, not as a test score.
School Subject Tests
Subject assessments matched to school syllabi. These are multi-subject programmes, so each subject is measured on its own — there is no single composite score, and no short placement quiz that could honestly stand in for one.
Where the questions come from
Every question is written by Studeous item writers against each exam’s published specification — the domains, the question formats and the difficulty distribution the test owner documents. None of it is copied from a live or retired exam.
That is partly a legal position and partly a practical one. Questions that leak from real exams are withdrawn from circulation, so practising on them measures your memory of a compromised item rather than the skill the exam is testing.
